Vaughan Williams: Five Mystical Songs

Five Mystical Songs is a setting of four poems by George Herbert, a 17th century poet and priest. Vaughan Williams wrote the work between 1906 and 1911. His poetry is not particularly well-known in itself, but a number of his texts have been set as hymns: the final part of this piece, Antiphon (Let All The World) will be familiar to many in this setting.
