Formed in 1982 as the Letchworth Garden City Choral Society, the Letchworth Chorale is an amateur chamber style choir. We perform various types of choral music from mediaeval to modern, often including major choral works.

Letchworth Chorale prides itself on being a friendly choir and we are always delighted to welcome new members for all voices. We strive to achieve high standards of performance, but also to enjoy ourselves in the process. Singers are drawn from Letchworth and the surrounding towns and villages, and we have spaces for new members in all voices.

Formal voice training is not required, and we do not hold auditions for membership, but you must be able to read music sufficiently to follow a score, and sing in tune.

We hold rehearsals on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at the Central Methodist Church, Norton Way South, Letchworth (directions here). We have breaks roughly around school terms.

We will be starting rehearsals for our Christmas concert on Monday 8th September. The concert will take place on Saturday 13th December.
